The Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India have reached a landmark milestone with the signing of a Business-to-Business (B2B) Agreement to facilitate the formal import of fertilizers from India to Bhutan. This agreement, signed between the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Royal Government of Bhutan, and the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), Namrup, Assam, a Public Sector Undertaking of the Government of India, is a  major  step in bilateral cooperation and further strengthens the longstanding friendship and commitment between the two nations.

The auspicious signing of B2B Agreement took place on 18 August 2025 in Siliguri, West Bengal, India between Mr. Yonten Gyamtsho, Director, Department of Agriculture representing Royal Government of Bhutan and Mr. Satyajeet Misra, General Manager (Marketing) BVFCL, representing Government of India.
