On 5th February 2024, coinciding with the 8th Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo Younten Phuntsho inaugurated the third phase of the De-Suung National Service: Million Fruit Trees Plantation Project from Chang Mindi in Paro. The ceremony was attended by the Dasho Secretary, MoAL, Dzongdag of Paro Dzongkhag, Dzongrab and Dzongkhag Officials, representatives from De-Suung Office, Director and the officials from the Department of Agriculture, leaders and officials from the local government, representatives from police and the farmers of Chang Mindi village. During the launching ceremony, the Chief guests and other guests planted 8 almond seedlings symbolizing the 8th Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey.
